Dana Walker
Born and raised
in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Dana Walker discovered her life’s purpose at
a young age. She began singing at age six and writing songs at age
thirteen. Her performance experience started with a few local musicians in
high school, then she moved on to college to hone her songwriting skills
while earning a B.A. degree in vocal performance and songwriting from
Susquehanna University.
After graduation, Dana relocated to the New England area to pursue a
career as a singer/songwriter, where she performed her original songs in an
acoustic duo called “Pleasantly Blue”, and sang in a few cover bands before
moving to Los Angeles. Once she arrived in Southern California, Dana was
signed as a recording artist to the independent label Freedom Music.
Dana is an associate member of ASCAP and NSAI, and most recently has had
her original songs produced by Michael Chavez (who is currently touring with
John Mayer as lead guitarist). Several of Dana's produced songs feature session players who have performed on the recordings
of Faith Hill, Jaime O’Neal, Vince Gill Leann Rimes and Dwight Yokam, to
name just a few. Dana is currently working with Outback Records and is starting to break into the country music
market. |
